It has come to this - something akin to a store.
DA is a marvelous meeting place, but it's lousy on artist sales.  Management is too stubborn to share success with even its premium members.  I get restrictive "15% Off" notices once a year on my birthday, rife with restrictions.  Nevertheless, here is the place to find more of my wares:

www.etsy.com/shop/Arubini

Otherwise, I'll keep on occasionally adding to this gallery as I see fit.  I'll be honest -- 2000 submissions since 2006 is getting a little hard to manage.  I'm starting fresh.

Print Time!

1 min read
I have been a member of this forum - this site - since 2006.  Now and then, sales come in, but that was the reason I joined DeviantArt, per the advice of a fellow photographer who was selling prints through DA, now and then.

Therefore I say to you now, time to buy a print!  I have prints at all levels of pricing - some art prints, and some simple photo print and post cards.  There's even a wonderful selection of mugs at the offing.  Give it a visit.

Buy a print, as many have!  Bronx Stairway | Great Lawn | Chrysler Mug | Central Park at Dusk <= as examples.

Keep your imagination and curiosity alive, keep asking questions, and make things happen, when they aren't happening enough without you.

All best,
James

About two and a half months ago (next Tuesday), a stray yellow bird flew into my realm via the fire escape running by my home office.  Little yellow birds are exceedingly rare in Manhattan life and are generally confined to botanical gardens, zoos, and pet shops.

Bird on Base by steeber  She's a wonder of energy and ingenuity and makes for a great photographic subject.
Melopsittacus Undulatus by steeber  Here's to little urban budgerigars everywhere.  Long may they live in good stead.

This item :thumb358915938: has been the focus of days of work, here on Earth.  I've been contributing to a site on Facebook www.facebook.com/pages/Dayton-… dedicated to the history of my adopted home town - the city of Dayton, Ohio - legendary for bringing a lot of technology to the planet.  I lived there for years and did a fair amount of schooling there.  It occurred to me, given many who wanted to see my on-line photography in print, to make a collage using software, and that is what I did.  The item is for sale on DeviantArt.  A few have bought, but I am now looking into the cost of publishing this in bulk.  Hopefully, I'll be able to line up a retail source for this, either on-line or at a small-box boutique (or both).  Wish the big downtown department stores were still there.  And now:  kck.st/16v06Cb
Carrying on,
JMS

DA offers a nice little portfolio service,

if you've got time to mess with it.
Mine is now living again, at steeber.artworkfolio.com/.

It meshes well with my home page - steeber.com
which is also enjoying a revival.

It's all helping me go from this Cumulonimbus Orange by steeber to this Cumulonimbus by steeber.
